Passenger arrivals and departures are the core activity of the Belgrade Central Railway Station. Asides from being connected to all larger places in Serbia, Belgrade Central railway station connects all foreign Yugoslav republics and maintains regular lines with 15 countries in Europe. Central station in Belgrade was opened in 1884 (September 1st), is situated in the city center, has 6 platforms and 10 railway tracks.
